The Land Development and Governance Institute, (LDGI) was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization to fill the apparent gap in the land sector between pure advocacy associations and professional associations.
LDGI offers a bridge for communities and stakeholders to meet policy makers as well as for policy makers to meet communities for effective policy formulation and implementation.
LDGI has successfully engaged the National Assembly of Kenya to take on board stakeholder input into the enactment of land laws.
Our work contributes to ending land related conflicts and disputes thus bringing social harmony.
We contribute to the fight against poverty through good land use and development; thus improving quality of life for communities.
MISSION: To contribute to improved livelihoods through offering a bridge between communities, stakeholders and policy makers in the promotion of equitable access and sustainable management of land and natural resources.
VISION: To become a centre of excellence in promoting the application of appropriate land policies, laws and management practices by empowering society through innovative and knowledge based advocacy and capacity building in Kenya and the region.
LDGI values of Integrity, Trust and Professionalism influence the way we work every day and everywhere.
We endeavour to use Creative and Innovative ways to achieve our vision.
