The Institute conducts research activities focussed on various policy and constitutional provisions on land use, administration and management in the country. The research generates factual and scientific evidence that informs legislation and policy development, and improves various aspects of land and the environment in the country.
Currently the Institute is conducting a research on large scale land acquisitions in Siaya, Isiolo and Lamu Counties, titled “Promoting greater community benefit and accountability in large scale land acquisition for investments’’.
